President Trump and Covid-19

ACCORDING to Johns Hopkins University, four countries — the United States, Brazil, India and Mexico — account for nearly half of the Covid-19 fatalities. In the US alone, the death toll has gone well beyond 200,000.

President Donald Trump, despite all the data readily available to him and having witnessed the havoc that Covid-19 is wrecking in that country, continued to downplay the threat posed by the deadly virus till he could.

Well, nature has a funny way of exacting revenge on people who decide to challenge it. President Trump himself was diagnosed with Covid-19. Though he is back in the saddle, one hopes that he sees the error of his ways and, henceforth, plays a sane role in dealing with coronavirus.
