Engro Polymer profit slips

KARACHI: Engro Polymer and Chemical on Thursday announced 9MCY20 profit after tax at Rs2.1 billion and earnings per share at Rs2.31, down 25pc year-on-year.

The earnings, however, were stated by analysts to be higher-than-industry expectations. Along with the result, the company also announced to resume work on earlier announced hydrogen peroxide plant which is expected to achieve commercial operations at the end of 2022.

Arif Habib restores profitability

Arif Habib Ltd posted stellar PAT at Rs739 million and EPS at Rs12.44 for the first quarter ended Sept 30, which represented increase of 497pc over the loss after tax of Rs186.3m and loss per share at Rs2,99 in the corresponding period of previous year.

SNGPL earns Rs5.8bn

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) declared PAT at Rs5.78bn (EPS: Rs9.11) for the nine months ended March 31, as against PAT at Rs7.82bn (EPS: Rs12.33) for the same period of 2019.
