BOMBAY: As a protest against “the new attitude taken by Congress towards Communists” Com­m­u­nist Party headquarters India has called upon all Communists with the exception of Com­mu­nist Members of A.I.C.C. to resign from the Con­g­ress. A statement issued in this connection by General Secretary, Communist party Mr. P.C. Joshi explains that Communist members of A.I.C.C. have been asked not to resign in order that they may remain and answer charges made against them by Congress Working Committee. …

P.C. Joshi … says “We Indian Communists made release of Congress leaders’ central plank of our agitation for last three years, but Congress leadership after release is not doing serious thinking, but demonstrating sectarian leaders in last A.I.C.C. meeting. …”

Mr. Joshi says, “Their declaration of fight aga­i­nst Muslim League will only unleash forces of civil war for the future Indian Union. To demand self-determination from British for a section of our own countrymen is plain injustice. We don’t think it is good patriotism to seek British intervention in our internal affair. …”
