LAHORE: Indirectly criticising former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi says a party chief who has intentions against the country and its armed forces cannot be a well-wisher of the country.

He was speaking to a delegation led by Khizer Hayat Gopang here on Sunday. He nominated Mr Gopang as the PML-Q candidate for the slot of Alipur tehsil nazim, Muzaffargarh.
