Jirga settles dispute

SUKKUR: A jirga (tribal court) held in Abdul Ghani Gujrani village within the limits of Tangwani police station of Kandhkot-Kashmore district on Sunday settled a karo-kari dispute between the Magsi and Bakhrani communities.

Chaired by Saeed Ahmed Bajkani, the jirga found Nasrullah Magsi, a local leader of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, guilty of having an extramarital affiar with a woman belonging to the Bakjrani community. He ordered Magsi to pay a fine/compensation of Rs1.5 million to the aggrieved family.
