44 sugar mill owners summoned over farmers’ plaints

LAHORE: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has summoned 44 sugar mill owners over complaints from farmers.

According to the ACE, it received over 2,500 complaints against sugar mills from farmers over non-payment of dues and illegal reduction in payments.

The ACE has called the owners to appear before it in person along with relevant records.

ACE Director General Gohar Nafees said they would ensure justice to farmers.
