Buzdar opens development projects in hometown

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several development schemes during his visit to Fazla Kuch and Barthi in the tribal area Takht Sulaiman tehsil on Friday.

He laid the foundation stone of upgrade project of the Fazla Kuch Basic Health Unit to the rural health centre and inaugurated the arazi record centre.

He also announced construction of four small dams in the area and inaugurated schools’ solar conversion programnes to put 1,066 schools of the district on solar-fired technologies.

The chief minister also laid the foundation of the sports stadium project, inaugurated Rescue 1122 motorcycle ambulance service for Koh-i-Sulaiman, water filtration plant, upgrade of boys high school to higher secondary level and anti-polio drive.

During his visit to Barthi, the chief minister launched Rescue 1122 motorbike ambulance service and announced upgrade of government boys high school to higher secondary level. He also inaugurated an arazi record centre and conversion of 55 schools to solar energy.

He announced the launch of pick and drop for girls students. Addressing a ceremony, he said that 75 per cent work of 35km long Musakhel-Taunsa Road costing Rs.2.75 billion had been completed. This road will improve road connectivity between Punjab and Balochistan.

He said the government drove development process towards backward and remote areas. The localities, where past rulers never set foot, are enjoying the fruits of development today, he stated.
