Sana gets pre-arrest bail in NAB office clash case

LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday granted interim pre-arrest bail to former law minister Rana Sanaullah Khan in a case of attacking a police team outside the office of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) when PML-N’s vice president Maryam Nawaz came to appear in an inquiry into land allotment.

The court allowed the bail till Sept 16 and directed Mr Khan to join police investigation.

Earlier, retired Capt Muhammad Safdar, son-in-law of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, and other leaders of the party were granted bails in the same case.

Chuhng police had registered the FIR against several leaders and 58 nominated workers of the PML-N.

Initially, the police included the offences of PPC in the case and later also added the offence under section 7 of ATA.
