Apropos a report published in Dawn on Aug 6, headlined “Cynthia’s plea against Rehman Malik dismissed”, it was erroneously mentioned that a court dismissed the defamation suit filed by PPP leader Rehman Malik against US blogger Cynthia D. Ritchie.

The court had actually dismissed the petition of a lawyer due to non-prosecution. The error is regretted.
