Covid-19 claims 13 more lives in Punjab

LAHORE: As many as 13 more patients died of Covid-19 across the province during the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 1,884 in Punjab so far.

Similarly, the total number of the confirmed cases of the virus reached 81,963 in Punjab after 646 more tested positive for the virus during the same period.

Of them, 334 were reported from Lahore, 40 from Rawalpindi, 37 from Faisalabad and 32 from Multan, according to the official figures released on Monday.

The total number of the deaths due to the virus in Lahore reached 720, in Rawalpindi 322, in Faisalabad 192 and in Multan 127.

The provincial capital also reported 42,656, the highest number of confirmed cases of the Covid-19, the official figures said.

A spokesperson for the health department said the teams performed 7,325 tests during the last 24 hours in Punjab.
