Border with Iran opens tomorrow

QUETTA: The Pakistan government has decided to open the border with Iran for seven days a week from July 5 (tomorrow) only for trade between the two countries.

According to officials, the decision was taken at a meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre held on Thursday.

In a letter to the inspector general of Frontier Corps (south) Turbat and the director general of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad, the interior ministry said the meeting decided that the border with Iran at Gubd, Mand, Katagur and Chagai would remain open seven days a week from July 5 only for trade (imports and exports) and entry of an unlimited number of trucks would be allowed following coronavirus-related SOPs and protocols.
