Suspects involved in Hazara, Turbat incidents arrested: Langove

QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove said on Friday that the suspects involved in Hazara Town lynching and Turbat incidents had been arrested and the government would not allow any person and group to undermine the writ of the state.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, he said that an action had been initiated against the elements who were trying to provoke different communities and tribes against each other by uploading posts about the Hazara lynching and the Turbat incidents on social media.

“Nobody would be allowed to pit different segments of society against each other and destroy peace of Quetta and other areas of the province in the name of sect, religion, language, cast and creed,” he said, adding that the government would fulfill its responsibilities with the help of security forces and cooperation of the people who had rendered great sacrifices for restoring peace and order in the province.

He said that the lynching of three persons in Hazara town was a very tragic incident. He said the incident took place in Danak during an attempt of dacoity was very serious and against Baloch customs and traditions as the accused had killed a woman and injured her three-year-old daughter.

Mr Langove appreciated the response of security forces to deal with the incidents of Quetta and Turbat and said that majority of the accused involved in both the incidents were arrested.

“The JIT constituted for the Hazara Town lynching incident has started an investigation and would submit its report within 15 days,” he said.
