SSC & HSSC

THE decision to promote SSC and HSSC students is laudable in the present situation, but the promotion criteria are an act of injustice to those who want to improve their marks.

It seems the government took this decision in a hurry. The percentage that would be increased by boards in SSC-II and HSSC-II on the basis of respective first part of the classes is unfair. A student who wants to join a medical college or some other professional course on merit would want to improve his/her marks. Will he wait for Sep-Nov? What will be the fate of his whole year after attempting the exam in November and getting the results in December?

SCC and HCC are the certificates which decide the whole future of a student. It is injustice for those who had been dreaming of getting good grades after improvement in their second part of the certificate. It seems they will pay the price of improvement in the form of wastage of one year.

Although the boards are will increase the marks in the second part, the increasing marks’ ratio is low. It should be at least five to six per cent. The increasing ratio imposed by government is slightly unfair for better students.
