PTI to replicate Tiger Force model all over Punjab

LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government has decided to replicate its Sialkot model of Corona Relief Tiger Force in all other districts of the province.

As many as 993,226 volunteers including 647,411 registered in Punjab will render their services in corona relief activities without any remuneration under the supervision of respective district administration.

In order to review operational matters of the force in all districts of Punjab, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Usman Dar on Friday briefed the Punjab government top officials through video-link.

Industries Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal and Special Education Minister Muhammad Ikhlaq, Chief Secretary Jawwad Rafique Malik, Senior Member Board of Revenue Babar Hayat Tarar, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Momin Agha, IG Punjab Shoaib Dastagir, administrative secretaries of different departments and officers concerned joined the video-link meeting at the Punjab Civil Secretariat.

Divisional commissioners and regional police officers (RPOs) joined through video-link from their respective districts.

Dar informed the meeting that 647,411 volunteers in Punjab belonged to wide sections of society including teachers, students, doctors, engineers, medical workers, lawyers, social workers and activists of political parties.

Mr Dar said the main duties of the force would be to facilitate functioning of utility stores, ensuring implementation of SOPs at mosques, help in management of isolation/quarantine centres, identifying hoarding, profiteering and finding out deserving people in their locality for distribution of ration.
