KSF collaborates with Lions Club to enhance relief work

KARACHI: In an effort to enhance its relief work amid the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown for struggling persons from the sports community, the Karachi Sports Forum (KSF) has joined hands with one of the biggest welfare organization of the world, the International Lions Club.

International Lions Club District 305 South former governor, Lion Anwar Javed and his fellow governors have assured their support to KSF in its endeavors.

Anwar Javed said that KSF has taken the lead in reaching out to struggling sports persons, coaches, umpires and sports organizers. He praised KSF workers for working hard and selflessly despite coronavirus fears to help out fellow humans. “They are role models for the country to be followed in these times of crisis.”

Meanwhile, KSF chairman Asif Azeem said that along with Lions Club International there is one more organization — Alamgir Welfare Trust — whose Chairman Chaudhry Nisar Ahmed has also assured his support to help struggling players.

Nisar said that he along with his organization are standing with KSF and would support in its relief work.

Asif further thanked Hamdard Foundation Pakistan, Foundation Public School, Tulips, Manal Foods Private Limited, Koh-e-Noor Soap and Detergent and other social and welfare organizations for their support.

He said with their support, KSF will start distributing Eid gifts from 25th Ramazan. He said that KSF has already started its preparations.

KSF chief organiser Syed Wasim Hashmi said that Lions Club former governor Anwar Javed has given 150 ration bags and 200 flour bags. Chaudhry Nisar Ahmed has given 500 hand sanitizers. Meanwhile, others also extended usable goods to be used to help out struggling persons from sports community.
