CDA to go paperless

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has made headway in the long overdue computerisation of office files as well as service delivery of the civic agency.

“The office automation project in CDA has been stalled for 12 years, as the software provider had not fulfilled the commitment as per agreement,” a press release issued by CDA said.

However, CDA on Monday said a meeting of the committee formed by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on litigation between the Ministry of Information Technology and LMK Resources said the project will take four to six months.

CDA’s financial system software is nearing deployment stage. However, the software provider has agreed to arrange the software’s latest version for the system.

This would lead to automation by end of this year.

For the first time, balance sheet and profit and loss statement will be prepared.

Similarly, the service delivery of all products of CDA shall also be lined up till June 2020 and all HR and filing systems will be automated.

These interventions will ensure paperless working environment and real time financial updates, the benefit of which would eventually pass on to citizens.
