Inflated KE bills

I AM a retired senior citizen having limited resources, depending on mostly a income from Bahbood certificate savings. Now the ever increasing utility bills, particularly that of K-Electric, have made life miserable,

The company has a monopoly and continues increasing the power rates. It has doubled the charges during the last one year — from Rs11 to Rs22 per unit. My bill for last March was Rs3,162 for 297 units, while the latest bill for January for 248 units (lesser units) is received for Rs5,450.

Is there any authority or someone in the government who can provide relief to helpless citizens and take notice of this excess?
