NEW DELHI: At a meeting of the Muslim ladies of Mohalla Pul Bangash held yesterday [Feb 12] at the residence of Khan Bahadur S.M. Abdullah under the presidentship of Begum Abdullah, the following resolution was adopted.

“This meeting protests against the reduction in the number of cloth-hawkers and the quantity of cloth allotted to them under the new control orders. It has caused great inconvenience to the Muslim ladies who on account of ‘Purdah’ can not go out for shopping. This meeting therefore demands that licenses should also be issued to women hawkers.”

Miss Fehmida Begum explaining the aims and ideals of the Muslim League exhorted the audience to work for the welfare and uplift of their less fortunate sisters. She appealed to the women to buy the Pakistan Calendars so that a large fund could be collected for the constructive work among the Muslim women.

[Meanwhile, according to a report from Hyderabad, Sind] A fire broke out during the early hours of this morning [Feb 12] in the cloth Bazar at Tando Allahayar, a suburb of Hyderabad.
