Four of a family shot dead over land dispute in Attock

TAXILA: Four people belonging to the same family were shot dead over a land dispute in Diahgardi in union council Lakarmarr on the limits of Injra police station of Attock on Thursday.

Police sources said that Ayub Khan had some land dispute with a party of the same village.

Both parties while working in the fields had a heated argument which took an ugly turn when the accused allegedly took out weapons and shot the family.

As a result, Naseem Khan, his son Ayub Khan, his wife Shamma Perveen and his uncle Aziz Khan endured multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot. The assailants managed to flee from the crime scene after the incident.

On getting information District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani along with crime scene unit squad reached at the spot and supervised the investigation process.

He also met heirs of the deceased and consoled them over the murder of their family members.

Speaking to the victims’ family, DPO Hamdani said that different teams have been formed to arrest the culprits and also assured that justice will be provided to the family.

Later the dead bodies were handed for burial to their heirs after autopsy at THQ hospital, Jand.
