Seven impersonators held with arms, drugs

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Police during vehicle checking on the National Highway have arrested seven impersonators and recovered arms, rounds, bullets, walkie-talkie sets, drugs and about a dozen fake service cards and letters from their possession.

“A vehicle stolen from Karachi has also been recovered from the suspects,” SSP of Sibi Malik Farooq Faiz Lehri told a press conference.

“Fake ID cards of an officer of communication and works department, a major working for a secret agency and an excise inspector were recovered from main suspect Jahangir Khan while his accomplices pretended to be officials of different government departments,” the SSP.

Those arrested include Shah Zaib, Mohammad Yasin, Arif, Omar Farooq and Kaleemullah. From their possession, one 9mm pistol, one SMG, 80 rounds, three magazines, two walkie-talkie sets, 6kg hashish and 6kg marijuana and a stolen car were recovered and seized.
