PPP to announce future strategy on 27th in Pindi

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Peoples Party will announce its strategy on Dec 27 to strengthen the party and raise demand for fresh general elections in the country.

This was stated by party’s provincial president Mohammad Humayun Khan while addressing workers meeting here on Sunday.

He asked his party office-bearers to ensure participation of maximum workers in the Dec 27 public meeting to be held on the occasion of death anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto in Rawalpindi.

He said that the workers should prove their loyalty with the party and come forward in an organised manner to safeguard democratic institutions in the country. He said that the credit went to the PPP leaders, including Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, who rendered sacrifice of their lives for the protection of democracy and rights of the downtrodden.

Meanwhile, other PPP leaders, including MPA Ahmed Karim Kundi and Zulfiqar Afghani, while addressing meetings to mobilise party workers for participation in Rawalpindi public meeting, said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was ready to lead the nation and take the country out of the current financial quagmire.

They said that the workers were anxiously waiting for the party policy to be announced on Dec 27. They said that the leadership should announce workers’ conventions to take the activists in relevant areas on board for restoration of the party’s popularity.

They said that the workers were determined to fulfil Benazir Bhutto’s mission for the welfare of poor masses and uplift of the country.
