MIRAMSHAH: Two suspected terrorists were killed and two soldiers martyred in an exchange of fire in Boya tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district on Wednesday night.

The Inter-Services Public Relations, the public affairs wing of the Pakistan Army, said in a statement that security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Charkhel area after presence of terrorists in a hideout was reported. The statement said that two terrorists were killed in the operation.

The ISPR said that Havaldar Sher Zaman and Sepoy Muhammad Jawad were martyred in the gun battle with terrorists.

According to the residents of the area, the area from Derpa Khel Eidgah to Boya had been under curfew since the gun battle occurred.

An official said that bodies of the terrorists were in the custody of security forces.
