Over 800 officials transferred from various districts

PESHAWAR: The departments and district administrations have transferred over 817 officials who have served more than two years on a post in line with the government directions.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, had a couple of weeks ago, directed the district administrations and other departments to transfer the officials working on the same post for more than two years as part of the anti-corruption measures.

A statement issued here on Tuesday said that under the directions, thus far 817 government employees had been transferred from the districts. It said that 129 employees had been transferred from Peshawar, 91 from Bannu, 82 from Swabi, 59 from Swat, 55 each from Lakki Marwat and Karak, 39 from Haripur, 24 from Kohat, 21 from Mansehra, 18 each from Battagram and Lower Dir, 16 from North Waziristan and 15 from Abbottabad.

The statement said that Charsadda district had transferred 14 officials working on the same post for more than two years, while Tank transferred 12, Hangu 11, Nowshera 10, Shangla, Buner and Upper Kohistan nine each, Mardan eight, Chitral, Kurram, Khyber and Orakzai one employee each.

The excise department transferred 62 employees and the revenue department 35.
