TURBAT: Federal Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal on Sunday attended a mass wedding at Hoshab in Kech district.

The ceremony was arranged for 25 less privileged couples by the Awaran Militia of Frontier Corps, Balochistan, and FC Balochistan South.

Being the first initiative of its kind taken in Turbat, the mass wedding ceremony was attended by tribal chieftains, elders and notables, government officials and people from different walks of life.

While the organisers expected 1,200 guests at the ceremony, more than 4,000 people turned up to attend the function.

People celebrated the occasion by singing folk songs and dancing to traditional beats of drum.
