[Meanwhile, as reported by Radio Pakistan,] Another Indian Act is being extended to Occupied Kashmir in contravention of the UN Resolutions on Kashmir. The Indian Deputy Law Minister has told Parliament in New Delhi that the Indian Government is negotiating with the Srinagar Government the extension to the occupied territory of the provisions of the Indian Waqf Act, which governs the supervision and management of Muslim religious endowments.

In the course of the discussion on an amendment to the Act, a Jana Sangh member, Mr Kanwar Lai Gupta, alleged that the Waqf fund in Occupied Kashmir was being used for promoting anti-India activities.
