BHC CJ urges judges to provide speedy justice

QUETTA: Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail on Friday urged lower courts to ensure speedy provision of justice in the province.

“The provincial departments and judiciary have to play their vital role in maintaining supremacy of law in Balochistan and the lawyers’ community should support the judiciary in removing obstacles causing delay in justice,” Chief Justice Mandokhail said while visiting the Pishin Judicial Complex on Friday.

Addressing the district bar, Justice Mandokhail said that he was taking measures to ensure provision of justice to the masses.

“The provincial government has to ensure provision of quality educational, health and water facilities for the masses but every single individual of the society should come forward in revamping the governing structure in Balochistan,” he added.

Justice Muhammad Hashim Kakar, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, Justice Ejaz Khan Sawari, Justice Abdullah Baloch, Justice Abdul Hameed Baloch, Justice Rozi Khan Barrech, District and Sessions Judge Dawood Khan Nasir, Inspection Judge Abdul Qayoum Lehri, President Pishin Bar Abdul Hadi Tareen and the lawyers’ community was present during the BHC Chief Justice’s visit.

Justice Mandokhail urged petitioners to put pressure on their lawyers for quick judgement on their cases because the Balochistan High Court did not want to prolong cases.

During the visit, he also reviewed the court’s record and heard issues of local lawyers.
