‘Over 40,000 from Bajaur to take part in Azadi March’

KHAR: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl district chief Maulana Abdur Rasheed on Monday announced that more than 40,000 party workers from Bajaur tribal district would participate in the Oct 31 Azadi March on Islamabad against the PTI government.

“The leadership has asked us to take 40,000 workers from this district to Islamabad but the number will be more than the target,” the JUI-F leader told a news conference here.

Accompanied by senior party leaders, Mr Rasheed said more and more party workers were expected to be part of the protest against the ‘selected’ PTI government in the centre.

He said the workers had showed unexpected enthusiasm and keenness for participation in the Azadi March.

The JUI-F leader said tribal elders, activists of other political parties and people from other walks of life would also be part of the anti-government protest.

He said the party would hold a multiparty conference in Khar on Wednesday to take the local leaders of political and religious parties on board about Azadi March.
