HYDERABAD: The Sindh Irriga­tion and Drain­age Authority (Sida) was created to ensure participatory irrigation system so that farmers and irrigation depar­tment officials would jointly manage water distribution.

This was stated by Sida man­aging director Wali Moh­ammad Naich while speaking at the conclusion ceremony of a three-day train­ing programme organised on Friday by the authority.
