Dengue situation

THE Dengue Inspection Team recently visited Margalla Institute of Health Sciences near Bahria Phase 4, Rawalpindi. The team discovered several barrels of dirty water behind the students’ cafeteria.

After testing the water, they found it infected with dengue larvae. Several students have been infected by dengue. There are videos on social media which show how the administration has been reluctant to clear the area. This is not only dangerous for the students but for the whole city as well.

Punjab has reported 3,076 cases of dengue, out of which 2,730 have been reported from Rawalpindi alone. At least nine deaths have been confirmed in the city. This is a serious issue that needs to be highlighted. Close down the area and declare an emergency. You can put lives of innocent students at risk. This is outrageous.

I, myself, heard from a couple of worried students because they had exams coming up. The administration refuses to stir.
