Fazl claims support of PPP, PML-N

CHINIOT: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman says the PPP and the PML-N are fully supporting his Oct 31 Azadi march against this “unlawful government”.

He said this at the Khatm-i-Nabuwat Conference, followed by a press conference at Chenab Nagar town on Friday.

He said the march would achieve its target of toppling the government. The government was using dictatorial tactics to stop the march. He said both PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto also announced supporting the march.

He said the government had failed to run the country smoothly. Various sectors of society, including doctors, traders and teachers, were on the roads. China had expressed concerns over slowing down the pace of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor while the Kashmir issue had also been compromised by the government.

He criticised Prime Minister Imran Khan for his speech in the UN General Assembly, saying that threatening to initiate a nuclear war was an irresponsible statement. He said if the government tried to block roads, his workers would find a way to land in Islamabad and paralyse it till their demand was met. He also blasted price hike and rising poverty level in the country.
