CSR & exploitation

IN the contemporary world, corporate social responsibility is often used to justify the unjustifiable exploitation of society by large organisations.

They exploit everything which helps living beings to survive on this planet. Excessive extraction of natural resources, deforestation, pollution, and the overuse of water reserves are examples of exploitation by the organisations.

By offering some well-publicised donations to some orphanage or welfare organizations, which they call CSR, such companies set themselves free from the obligations they owe to society. The actual responsibilities must be far beyond these small-scale charities.

The government should set proper corporate social responsibilities for the companies in order to benefit society on huge scale.
