Cabinet to take up 24-point agenda

LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has summoned a provincial cabinet meeting for Tuesday (today) at his office to discuss a 24-point agenda.

All provincial ministers, advisers, special assistants, chief secretary and other senior officials will participate in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the chief minister presided over a meeting of the cabinet’s standing committee on finance and development and reviewed matters pertaining to different departments.

Approval was granted to reconstitute the standing committee on food for commodity financial operation and issuance of subsidiary grant during current financial year for the Anti-Corruption Establishment.

Buzdar, while directing the government departments to ensure implementation on financial discipline, said that all possible resources should be utilised to bring transparency in financial matters.

Approval was also given to the minutes of the 16th meeting of the cabinet’s standing committee on finance and development. Provincial ministers Hashim Jawan Bakht, Mian Aslam Iqbal, adviser Dr Salman Shah, the chief secretary, principal secretary to the CM, secretaries of departments concerned and other high-ranking officials participated in the meeting.
