Four killed in Dera Ismail Khan clash

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Four people were killed and three others injured in a clash between Dotani and Sherani tribes over possession of forests in Drazenda tehsil here on Friday.

However, deputy commissioner Mohammad Omair and district police officer Dilawar Bangaush made the two tribes to cease fire, and efforts were being made to hold a jirga to settle the dispute.

Tense calm prevailed in the area after the incident.

According to the reports two persons were killed from each side during the firing.

The injured persons were brought to the district headquarters hospital, Dera Ismail Khan.
