LARKANA: Hindus and members of other minority communities took out rallies and held demonstrations in several Sindh towns on Friday to condemn Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris.

In Larkana, District Hindu Panchayat took out a procession from Dharmashala and held a demonstration outside the press club after marching on different roads.

Dr Dharampal, president of the Panchayat who led the procession, said that Modi was using lockdown and brutal force in occupied Kashmir to silence peoples’ voice.

He urged the United Nations and the world to play their role in stopping brutalities against Kashmiris. All minorities including Hindus, Sikhs, Harijans and others vehemently condemned the Indian excesses in occupied Kashmir, he said.

MIRPURKHAS: Scores of members of Pooj Hindu Lohano Panchayat took out a rally and held a demonstration outside local press club in protest against Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

Former MPA Lachmandas Peervani who led the protest strongly condemned the Indian aggression in the valley and warned the Indian government that all Hindus of Pakistan stood by their Kashmiri brethren.

They urged the Indian government to stop violence and restore rights of Kashmiri people under their constitution.

They demanded the government resolve all issues of Hindu community in the province by taking drastic measures.

BADIN: A large number of Hindus and members of other minority communities took out a rally in Matli town to express solidarity with Kashmiris fighting Indian oppression in held Kashmir.

The rally led by Punhoo Meraj, Pabo Shankar, Kishwar Harijan and others raised slogans against India and Modi government as they moved to Matli Press Club where the leaders made speeches.

The Panchayat leaders condemned the Indian occupation of Muslim-majority Kashmir and atrocities in occupied valley.

“We invite all Hindu communities living in Pakistan to give a strong response from one platform to the Modi government and his army which was involved in human rights violations in held Kashmir,” they said.

Matli Kashmir Committee also held a demonstration in front of local press club in protest against Indian aggression.

Members of civil society and students took out a rally in Badin which started from Moaaz Bin Jabal Mosque and reached Awan-i-Sahafat where the participants held a demonstration.

The protesters’ leaders said that India was committing atrocities in occupied Kashmir on a large scale. Kashmiri civilian population had been confined to their homes and even their children were not allowed to go out for medical treatment, they said.

They said that Indian forces were committing extrajudicial killings of innocent Kashmiris when they tried to venture out during curfew.

They said that the Indian forces had blinded hundereds of Kashmiri youth through the use of pellet guns and killed several others for defying the brutal occupation of the Valley.

They demanded the government ask the world to play its role in forcing India to lift over a month-long curfew.
