Teenage boy among three found dead in city

KARACHI: A teenage boy was among the three persons found dead in different areas of Memon Goth and Sukhan, officials said on Monday.

They added that the body of around 17-year-old Salman Ishaq was found near Thado Nadi on the city outskirts. The dead was a resident of the Khokhrapar-5 area. The police said apparently there were no injury marks on his body. The corpse was taken to the JPMC to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Memon Goth SHO Qalandar Bux said that the family told the police that Salman had left his home in Khokhrapar on Sunday evening and did not return.

The officer said that there were signs of blood in his nose. He said the water level in the river was not such that might have cause his drowning. The police were waiting for doctor’s report to proceed further legally.

In the Sukhan area, two bodies were found at separate places.

The police said that the body of a man with bullet marks was found on an empty plot in Bhains Colony.

The corpse was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre to fulfil legal formalities.

According to Dr Seemin Jamali, the body was five to six days old. There were at least four bullet wounds on his head. The victim was identified as Ali Sher, 30, by his cousin Habib. The police were investigating the case.

Separately, an around 10 days old body of an unknown man aged around 40 years was found at the Lucky power plant in the jurisdiction of the Sukhan police. His identity and the exact cause of death could not be ascertained immediately.
