KARACHI: A 40-year-old man was shot dead on the outskirts of the city on Thursday evening, said police.

They added that Nisar was riding a motorbike with his wife when armed motorcyclists intercepted him near the graveyard in Janjal Goth. The attackers first stabbed him and then shot him dead, said Maymar SHO Ishtiaq Ghouri.

His wife remained unhurt in the incident.

The victim originally hailed from Bajaur. The police suspected personal enmity behind the murder.

The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to fulfil medico-legal formalities.
