UAE: medal for Modi

SADLY, when it comes to India and its capitalist tendencies along with atrocities in occupied Kashmir, the silence of the UN, the capitalist top-guns and, above all, the Muslim world, is deafening as well as dishearting.

Additionally, what complicates the picture is the recent discouraging news coming from the Muslim world which further fuels the fire as Narendra Modi was awarded the highest civilian award ‘Order of Zayed’ by the UAE.

It is sad to note that when millions of Muslims are facing brutalities, life-threatening situation and torture in India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Muslim world rests in deep slumber. This betrays decades of inaction.

Instead of endeavouring to ensure the provision of human rights and freedom of Muslims in the occupied Kashmir valley, the UAE along with the Muslim world has maintained a cold attitude towards Kashmiris. The UAE has strengthened the notion that capitalist prosperity matters more than uniting under the umbrella of Islam and saving the Muslims.

Moreover, it is not the first time that Muslim disunity has damaged the whole Ummah and cast a shadow on its repute. Be it Israel’s annexation of Palestine, the proxy wars in the Middle East, savage killings of Muslims in Myanmar or miseries of Kashmiris, the Muslim world prefers to maintain capitalist relationships, ignoring human rights violations against Muslim communities. It is time the Muslims raise their voice against excesses committed with their brethren.

THIS refers to the ‘Order of Zayed’ presented by the UAE to Narendra Modi. How can a country forget the brutalities and atrocities being committed by Modi’s India in occupied Jammu and Kashmir?

This act by the UAE is tantamount to supporting someone who has violated every rule of humanity. Kashmir is in a state when it needs world support. Instead, the UAE, despite being an Islamic country, supports the man behind the unprecedented bloodshed in Kashmir.

Isn’t it the time for the UAE to raise the Kashmir issue instead of awarding medals to the person who is actually responsible for bloodshed?

CROWN Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan awarded ‘Order of Zayed’ to Modi the during his visit

to the capital.

Will our government register a strong official reaction at this outrageous act or will it stay silent considering monetary gains are more important than the morality on the Kashmir issue?
