Hizb leader wants UN peacekeeping troops in held Kashmir

MUZAFFARABAD: Supreme Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Syed Salahuddin on Sunday called for deployment of UN peacekeeping troops in India-held Kashmir or Pakistan should send its troops across the Line of Control to extend the much-needed military aid to struggling Kashmiris.

Speaking at a gathering here, he dilated on the situation in held Kashmir, particularly in the wake of India’s Aug 5 move scrapping the special status of the occupied territory and putting it in under a lockdown, clamping ceaseless curfew and blocking communications.
