‘PM to address minorities’ big rally on Kashmir in Umerkot on 31st’

UMERKOT: Thousands of people belonging to the minority communities are expected to attend a huge gathering on Saturday (Aug 31) in Umerkot where Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will make speeches to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir, according to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MNA Lal Chand Malhi.

Several leaders of the Hindu and other minority communities will also speak, he said.

Mr Malhi said that his [Hindu] community living in Pakistan fully supported the people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their struggle for their fundamental rights. “The day is not far when Kashmir will win freedom from the Indian occupation forces,” he said, adding that “we [the Hindu community in Pakistan] will wave the Pakistan flag with one hand and the Kashmir flag with the other to tell the Modi government and the international community that we are with the Kashmiri people”.

He said PM Imran Khan and FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi would tell the Indian government that the life and property of minorities in Pakistan were absolutely safe and secure.

About the arrangements for the Umerkot gathering, MNA Malhi said that 30,000 chairs had been arranged at the venue for members of the minority communities coming from Umerkot, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Karachi, Hyderabad, Tharparkar, Tando Adam, Ghotki and other areas to attend the public meeting.
