Govt has failed to deliver: ANP

KARAK: Awami National Party, Karak district chapter, has criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf provincial government for its failure to fulfil the promises the party had made with the people during the general elections. It alleged that corruption had increased in the province during the PTI rule.

This was observed during a consultative meeting of ANP held here on Tuesday with its district president Shah Nawaz Khattak in the chair. It was attended by the district and tehsil office-bearers and local workers.

The meeting decided to start preparations for the next local government elections.

The district president claimed that ANP was the only representative political party of Pakhtuns. He alleged that PTI had deceived the people through the slogan of change in the last general elections, but they could not see any change in any sector.

He said that the standard of life of the masses had fallen due to wrong economic policies of the government.

GAS THEFT: The elders of Karak district have alleged that gypsum factories are involved in a large-scale gas theft, resulting in low gas pressure in residential areas. They claimed that the SNGPL was not taking action in this regard.

Talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Khursheed, Maqsood, Irshad and others alleged that the company had given free hand to the owners of gypsum factories across the district to steal natural gas.

The elders said that if gas supply to the factories was made legal then there would be no problem of low gas pressure for domestic consumers in the district. They demanded immediate action against illegal gas connections of the factories.
