Four killed in road accidents

LAKKI MARWAT/LANDI KOTAL: Four people were killed in separate road accidents on Tuesday.

In Lakki Marwat, two motorcylists were killed in a road accident near Kurrum bridge, witnesses said.

They said both motorcycles collided near Kurram bridge on the busy Indus Highway, killing both of them on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Faseehullah and Imdadullah hailing from Kurrum Par area.

The motorcycles were badly damaged in the accident while the bodies were shifted to a local hospital where these were handed over to relatives after fulfilling legal formalities.

In Landi Kotal, two persons including a minor boy were killed and six more injured in two separate road accidents in Khyber tribal district on Tuesday.

Police said that a young boy Sahil Khan lost his life when he was hit by a speeding motorcycle in Mukhtar Khel area on Tuesday morning.

They said that two persons riding on the motorcycle received critical injuries and were shifted to Peshawar for treatment.

A minor boy died on the spot when two fast moving cars collided head-on on the main Peshawar Torkham Highway near Jamrud Bazaar, police said.

They said the accident was result of careless driving which also caused injuries to four more persons who were later shifted to a local hospital.
