Cambridge results announced on second day of Eid
KARACHI: Cambridge Assessment International Examination released the results of its June 2019 exam series on Tuesday, the second day of Eid.
“I have been so stressed about my results for days now. And as this day approached I was getting even more nervous. I couldn’t even enjoy Eid because I was worried about my results. Thank God, the wait is over. I passed and didn’t do too badly either,” said a student who had appeared for her A Levels this year.
“Everything, my entire future depended on my Cambridge results. I was worried I hadn’t done too well in at least two subjects but turns out that I did fine there though another subject where I was expecting an ‘A’, I passed with a ‘C’ instead,” said another student who had appeared for O Levels. “I am thinking about getting my paper rechecked, that is if my parents allow. Otherwise I will take the exam again because ‘C’ is not good,” he added shaking his head.
This was the story at all the schools where some students were overjoyed and others not too happy. “I wish the results are released sooner every year so that we are done with this emotional time by Eid and Independence Day,” said a few girls with mixed feelings and their results in hand.
The schools in Pakistan cover a cross-section of institutions ranging from private schools to semi-government and government schools like Model Colleges in Islamabad, Army Public Schools and divisional public schools.
The number of schools now teaching Cambridge International programmes has grown internationally and in Pakistan where more schools offer a Cambridge education.
The most popular Cambridge O Levels in Pakistan are First Language English, Islamiat, Pakistan Studies and Mathematics. The most popular Cambridge International AS and A Levels are Physics, Maths, Chemistry and Business.
Globally, the most popular Cambridge International AS and A Levels this year are Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The most popular Cambridge O Level subjects are First Language English, Mathematics and Islamiat while the most popular Cambridge IGCSEs are Mathematics, Physics and First Language English.
