HYDERABAD: A police constable was arrested and a pistol was seized from him after he confessed to have been involved in street crimes, a spokesman for the Hyderabad police said on Tuesday. The money he had looted from people was also seized from him, the spokesman added.

He said constable Muzammil admitted he snatched cash, mobile phones and ladies purses in scores of his mugging activity. An FIR against him was registered at the Hussainabad police station.
