Opposition’s protest to create chaos, says Sarwar

LAHORE: Governor Chaudhry Sarwar says the opposition’s ideology is nothing but “Nazaria Zaroorat” which will create chaos while observing black day on July 25.

The governor said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to the US was a historic moment and depicted the sentiments of overseas Pakistanis towards ending corruption.

Mr Sarwar was speaking at a ceremony of inaugurating a water filtration plant at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh on Monday. He said the opposition did not have any productive issue to convey to the public and was making useless efforts to escape justice.

“The present government will not let anyone hinder the accountability drive,” he said.

Mr Sarwar said Imran Khan was the first ever prime minister of Pakistan who successfully held a huge public demonstration and addressed 20,000 people in Washington. “We consider overseas Pakistanis our ambassadors as they are contributing to the progress and image-building of Pakistan,” he said.

PTI’s core member Aneel Musarrat said the overseas Pakistanis would not hold back from any sacrifice for Pakistan and added that it was good fortune that an honest and patriotic prime minister was striving hard for this country.

“We have built a state-of-the-art hospital in Mianwali and it is my wish to build hospitals like these all across Punjab where underprivileged can get free treatment,” he said.

Spokesperson to prime minister on trade and investment UK and EU Sahibzada Jahangir also spoke.

ANEEL MUSARRAT: The British-Pakistani businessman called on Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and offered establishing a hospital in every division of the province in partnership with the provincial government.

He said modern hospitals would be established in areas facing the paucity of healthcare facilities so that the patients could get modern facilities near their homes. He said the modern emergencies and trauma centres would be established in these hospitals and the local community be given ownership of the medical institutions.

The chief minister said the government was committed to providing quality healthcare facilities to the general public.

Mr Buzdar said the collaboration of the private sector would be welcomed in the health sector. He said the investors should take maximum benefit of investment-related opportunities and added that the Punjab government would provide the best available facilities to them.
