I UNDERSTAND that the government had to impose taxes. This has increased prices of basic commodities. But I feel that shopkeepers and businesses are taking undue advantage of this and double the prices, making it difficult for the common man to put food on the table.

The state should take responsibility to ensure that no one abuses tax policies and makes the public suffer.
