LAHORE: A six-week High Performance Skill and Training Programme for national under-19 cricketers will start at the National Cricket Academy here from Monday.

A contingent of 17 players, comprising members of the national team which whitewashed their South Africa counterparts in an away seven-match one-day series recently, will gather at the NCA by Sunday.

The coaches will analyse the performances of the players who travelled to South Africa and will also focus on enhancing the physical skills of the participants with extensive sessions on all three facets of the game.

The next big challenges of the Pakistan U-19 team are the Asia Cup in September and next year’s World Cup.
