High Performance Camp winds up at NCA

LAHORE: A four-week High Performance Camp for emerging U-16 players concluded at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) here on Saturday.

Earmarked by interactive lectures, rigorous training and fitness sessions under the watchful eye of the NCA coaches, the 20 players were put to task on different aspects of the game.

Mohsin Kamal, who was the commandant of the camp shed light on the players’ development during the programme.Former Test cricketer Rao Iftikhar Anjum also helped fast bowlers learn through lectures.

Umer Eman, who captained the Pakistan U-16 team to 50-over and T20 series victories over Australia U-16 in the UAE this year, mentioned that the players have learned a lot in the camp.

“Designed to gauge and enhance our fitness, the coaches worked tireless with us on fielding, batting and bowling skills for future series,” he said.
