DEMO: People staged a protest demonstration on Tuesday against Khurrianwala police for allegedly torturing a man to death.
This is second incident in the district where police allegedly tortured a suspect to death.
On Monday, a protest was staged against Jarranwala city police after a youth, Ansar Ali, died in custody.
During Tuesday protest, the protesters placed the dead body near Makwana Chowk on Faisalabad-Jarranwala Road and chanted slogans against the police.
Due to the blockage of the busy road, the motorists faced problems.
The protesters alleged that police during a house raid hit Maqsood Ahmed’s head with a rifle butt. He later succumbed to his head injury.
They demanded a fair probe into the incident and action against the policemen responsible for it.
Police, on the other hand, claimed the allegation was yet to be established.
