No water

WE live in Shahnawaz Shar Goth in Scheme 33, Karachi, behind the Lawyers Society. This society has round-the-clock water supply line, but our village has been deprived of this basic right. The residents of this village are mostly labourers or daily wage earners and are not in a position to purchase water from the tankers’ mafia.

The Sindh government allocated a budget a decade ago to construct roads and lay sewerage lines in the village. The civil works done were of poor quality. The result is the road is dilapidated and the sewerage line has been broken in many places.

In short our village lacks every basic amenity of modern life — roads, sanitation and most of all water.

This is a request to Sindh chief minster to order the authorities to ensure water supply to the village.
