Two motorcyclists killed in Karak

KARAK: Two motorcyclists were killed when their bike hit a truck from behind on the Indus Highway in Takht-i-Nusrati here on Tuesday.

Police said the deceased were identified as Mujahid and Lalzada, residents of Sarki Lawagher.

Meanwhile, body of an unknown young man was found in a water channel in Karak city.

The police shifted the body to the district headquarters hospital, Karak.

Police claimed that there were marks of violence on the body of the young man.

Meanwhile, Banda Daud Shah tehsil nazim Malik Shaukat Khattak has asked the communications and works department to expedite construction work on the lone girls’ degree college in the area.

He issued the directives during a visit to the under-construction college on Tuesday.

Sub- divisional officer of CWD Rehman Khattak briefed the nazim on the work progress.

Mr Shaukat said there was no educational institution of higher education in the entire tehsil except the higher secondary school in Teri that was also understaffed.

He asked the CWD to expedite work on the girls college as students were facing lot of hardships in getting higher education.

The nazim said the education department would be asked to make the college operational from the upcoming academic session.
